A FEEL-GOOD ZONE
Surrounded by the majestic alpine panorama of the Wilder Kaiser range, the Stanglwirt is one of the most famous romantic and family hotels, with an enormous spa and an incomparable fitness and leisure offering. For the renovation of its hotel gym "Fitness Garden", the Stanglwirt chose Life Fitness for several reasons. According to Maria Hauser, junior manager of the hotel, these included the functionality of the equipment, which she described as perfect and well thought out to the last detail. The very high quality look and feel was another important factor. Maria also highlighted the fact that working with Life Fitness was not only pleasurable but also smooth, professional and very human, which represents the value of the hotel. Feeling comfortable with each other, she noted, was a big plus.
"We have noticed that our guests are increasingly asking explicitly for specific equipment or training methods," says Björn Schulz, sports director at the Stanglwirt. By paying attention to current trends such as strength training and functional training as well as to digitalization, they ensure that every guest feels comfortable and finds something that's right for them. Björn explains, "What was very important to us was to really address different guest needs, from an athlete during recreation to professional football teams. We have often had the Klitschkos here as boxers, preparing for their fights. We also have individual athletes from various other sports and we really wanted to cover everything within one concept—and now we have managed it."
Originally, however, the cooperation was triggered by a recommendation from a very special person. "We came across Life Fitness through our friend and regular guest Arnold Schwarzenegger, who is passionate about training on Hammer equipment," says Maria Hauser. Among other occasions, the star actor used Hammer equipment to keep in shape on the set of the blockbuster Terminator movie. After filming, the superstar send the equipment to the Stanglwirt, where it is still part of the hotel gym, and put the 5* bio and wellness resort in contact with the manufacturer, Life Fitness. Any hotel guest can now train on Arnie's personal equipment and feel like a celebrity!
